Foundations of Movement & Dance for Young Children
Instructor: Kitty Keyser
Creative Dance and Movement is designed to help children discover movement, spatial awareness, rhythm and form. Emphasis in class is on exploration and experimentation in a cooperative atmosphere. Placement is primarily according to age or instructor's approval. Level one will incorporate movement that is fun, often with music. Level two, will do the same but the movements will become more complex. Level three is a continuation of level two, but more improvisation, references to modern dance and ballet (known as “pre-dance” or “pre-ballet”), will be included. Note: This class was originally called "Creative Dance & Movement for Children."
